Bryan is head of the Maori legal team at Morrison Kent. He has considerable experience working in the Treaty of Waitangi and Maori land law fields, , working originally as a historian and academic, and then as a lawyer. Bryan’s experience includes representing clients in Treaty claims; representing clients in the Maori Land Court regarding land issues and also taonga tuturu; providing expert evidence before the Waitangi Tribunal and Maori Land Court; and appearing as expert witness in numerous Treaty claims and Inquiry Districts.
